Sullivan County Hospital Deploys Mitel UC Solution Suite

Looking to improve the facilities provided to its patients, Sullivan County Hospital in Sullivan, Indiana has selected Mitel’s unified communications, or “UC,” solution. The company is looking to improve the reliability, scalability and cost-effectiveness of its voice system with this agreement.

It combines multiple IT capabilities, enabling an efficient approach to communicating that changes how individuals, groups and organizations conduct business.

Looking to improve the reliability, scalability and cost-effectiveness of its voice system in the face of expansion and regional integration with other medical facilities, Sullivan County Hospital is deploying Mitel’s solutions. Gibson Teledata, a Mitel authorizedPARTNER, assisted the hospital with evaluating Mitel’s range of offerings, including solutions to replace existing technology from Nortel.

“At Mitel, our focus is on providing stellar communications solutions that grow with our customers, no matter how many employees or locations they have. Sullivan County Hospital had very specific needs in various areas, and together with our partner Gibson Teldata, we were able to meet those needs point by point with innovative, cost-effective solutions,” said Rick Dell, president, U.S., Mitel.

The services that Sullivan County Hospital has bought from Mitel include Mitel Communications Director; Mitel Applications Suite, including Mitel NuPoint Unified Messaging and Mitel UC Mobile; Mitel Call Accounting; and Mitel IP DECT Wireless Solutions. According to the hospital Mitel Call Accounting further improves ROI by allowing them to defray costs across tenants. Also, agents can access personal desktops and phone extensions anywhere, allowing fast recovery in the event of power failure or similar event.

Recently, Info Directions, a provider of operations and billing software for the convergent communications market, announced that wireless voice and data services provider Mitel has launched a mobile service on CostGuard OSS/BSS. According to Info Directions, their CostGuard is not just a telecom billing software but a comprehensive, scalable and reliable platform for creating and selling products, caring for customers, and collecting revenue.
