Enabling & Unify2 Partner to Help Global Enterprises Optimize UC Investments
March 18, 2010
Enabling Technologies and Unify2 announced a new partnership to help global enterprises optimize their UC investments through the use of Unify2 PowerView and PowerPlan. Both are leading services and solutions firms in unified communications, or “UC,” and Microsoft office communications server, or “OCS.”
According to Bill Vollerthum, president of Enabling Technologies, as more of the company’s clients roll out OCS 2007 R2 in production environments, they will need comprehensive tools for tracking usage and system optimization.
“Unify2 PowerView enables enterprises to successfully track their enterprise-wide OCS deployment from a centralized console, while PowerPlan allows IT executives to plan their future OCS bandwidth needs to support voice, audio/video conferencing, and collaboration. When combined, these tools will enable our clients to build a reliable and scalable infrastructure for an optimal OCS experience,” Vollerthum said.
In addition, Unify2’s CEO Sonu Aggarwal, said in a recent release that the partnership with Enabling will add Power Suite sales and support to their service set, and help enable the company’s customers to successfully roll out OCS across their organizations.
“We've seen strong demand for our OCS usage, tracking and billing technologies since their introduction last year, and look forward to broader support and enterprise deployment through the relationship with Enabling Technologies,” Aggarwal said.
The Unify2 Power Suite allows enterprises to monitor and drive efficiencies around OCS usage, produce billing or charge-back reports, track return on investment, and right-size their OCS and network investments through comprehensive bandwidth planning tools. Enabling Technologies will support Unify2 in sales, rollout and deployment of the new Unify2 Power Suite platform.
As Microsoft OCS is more widely used in enterprises, it is essential to offer the most updated technology to the market. This new partnership allows Enabling Technologies and Unify2 to meet the needs of their existing clients by providing expertise and the latest software applications developed for Microsoft OCS. Both companies develop custom applications for the Microsoft UC platform. The partnership ensures faster and more efficient access to the latest technologies, better ROI and efficiencies in their Microsoft UC investments.
