TANDBERG has announced that it will be showcasing its Telepresence (News - Alert) and video conferencing solution suite by hosting a series of open houses across US cities. TANDBERG is a provider of telepresence, high-definition videoconferencing, and mobile video products and services -- with dual headquarters in New York and Norway. The company designs, develops, and markets systems and software for video, voice, and data.
Rick Snyder, President of TANDBERG, Americas discusses the New Way of Working events, "To really understand how powerful video-enabled face-to-face communication is, you have to experience it in person.”
“Because video and telepresence has the power to transform an organization, we believe that everyone deserves access to business-quality video. For this reason, we are opening up our executive briefing centers around the country to encourage individuals to experience the benefits of video and learn about this new way of working," he continues.
The company has stated that video allows people to perform at their best by drawing on all of their assets, including their knowledge base and their communication skills. To make that possible, the technology also needs to perform – reliably, seamlessly, and powerfully. And visitors to the events will see their solutions’ high definition ability to improve the services of business executives, healthcare professionals, educators and government leaders.
"In this challenging economic climate, telepresence and video conferencing solutions help private and public sector organizations do more with less, enabling cost savings and greater collaboration. In addition, this technology also helps reduce the environmental impact of travel," said Snyder.
The ‘New Way of Working’ showcase will take place from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the following TANDBERG locations: Washington, D.C./Reston, Va. -- Thursday, January 29, 2009; Dallas -- Tuesday, February 10, 2009; Atlanta -- Thursday, February 19, 2009; New York -- Wednesday, March 11, 2009, and Pleasanton, Calif. -- Wednesday, March 18, 2009.
