The cloud era is upon us, and the dawn of a new day has arrived. Technology is in the midst of a major transformation as a result of cloud computing, and one area most notably grabbing attention is the unified communications space. Agora.io has raised $70 million in a Series C round. That brings its total capital raised to $125 million. Four-year-old Agora.io provides a Twilio-like platform. It enables developers to embed real-time broadcasting, video, and voice into mobile and web applications. All the details are HERE

INTERNET TELEPHONY Magazine announced Fusion garnered a 2018 Excellence Award for the Fusion360 integrated cloud communications solution. RingCentral announced the appointment of Peter Hughes to the role of Regional Sales Vice President for the Asia Pacific (APAC) region. Based out of Sydney, the industry vet is tasked with expanding the cloud communication provider’s presence in the region. The full report is HERE.
