Liverpool Sponsorship Latest Score for Mitel
As its popularity continues to grow here in the United States, it is undeniable that soccer – err, football as the rest of the world calls it – is the international game. And, it seems that what is viewed as the top league in the world is getting a boost from cloud communications.
Today, cloud communications provider Mitel announced the Liverpool Football Club selected the member of the Gartner Magic Quadrant to be the club’s official unified communications partner. The aim is to elevate the fan and employee experience.
"We're delighted to welcome Mitel as our new Official Global Unified Communications Partner," said Billy Hogan, Managing Director and Chief Commercial Officer, Liverpool FC. "We are always looking for ways to enhance the experience that we provide to our supporters. With Mitel's expertise, we will upgrade our technology and improve the speed and quality of our service. In addition, we will have the ability to introduce new channels and intelligent fan self-service capabilities. Ultimately, the partnership with Mitel will enable us to simplify fan journeys and create seamless interactions."
Mitel is unique in that it is the only brand in three Gartner Magic Quadrants: Unified Communications, Unified Communications as a Service and Contact Center. With the cloud based Mitel system in place the Club promised reduced wait times, omnichannel functionality, as well as seamless Salesforce integration to empower agents to better serve fans. Internally, Club employees can enjoy the ease of choice – using a device of their choosing to be specific – and ensures access to team members regardless of location.
"Highly competitive organizations like Liverpool Football Club understand the importance of building all aspects of performance into their game plans, including the key role communications and collaboration play on and off the pitch," said Jeremy Butt, Mitel's Senior Vice President, International. "Mitel is honored to partner with LFC and deliver cloud services that will help elevate their Club operations, increase staff productivity and support fan engagement."
This past MLB season Mitel kicked off the first years of its MLB sponsorship. Building on this relationship, Mitel announced sponsorship of next year’s series in London between the Yankees and the Red Sox. And now matriculated to Anfield Stadium and an expanded European presence.
