RingCentral Ropes SD-WAN into Solution Set
Cloud communications are all the rage, and as companies of all shapes and sizes deploy future-forward and feature rich solutions to support communication and collaboration this is only one piece of the digital transformation puzzle. Ensuring Quality of Service (QoS) is another, rather large slice of the pie, as well. Seeing strong results in the arena is SD-WAN, with mounting deployments furthering cementing this point.
Today, RingCentral took the wrapping off a new certified SD-WAN certified partners program, highlighting several entrants. Initial partners include GTT Communications, Windstream Enterprise, VMware, CloudGenix and Riverbed.
“SD-WAN and UCaaS are natural partners,” notes John Burke, Principal Research Analyst and CIO at Nemertes Research. “SD-WAN reduces branch network outages by 95%, and slashes WAN management overhead by 50%, according to our recent report. Together, SD-WAN and UCaaS combine to fully enable an internet-only, cloud-first agile branching strategy: They deliver robust, resilient enterprise cloud communications services anywhere, with minimal overhead and lead time.”
Each SD-WAN solution will seamlessly connect with RingCentral cloud communications portfolio, delivering customers the freedom of choice in digital transformation efforts. With SD-WAN in place, UCaaS deployment time is accelerated, while also guaranteeing low latency, minimal packet loss and a reduction jitter.
“RingCentral is committed to enabling businesses to take advantage of the full power of cloud solutions—and our SD-WAN partnerships reflect this strategy,” said Curtis Peterson, Senior Vice President of Cloud Operations at RingCentral. “We want to ensure that our customers have a range of industry-leading choices when deciding on their network options when they deploy RingCentral solutions. This flexibility enables customers to choose the right products for all their network needs. By building integrations with leading SD-WAN providers, our new program makes it radically simple for customers to build the network of the future, without a lot of cost or headache.”
As we move deeper in the digital age ascend into a cloud-based reality, it is important to ensure all systems are go – from the network and data center to the IP phone on your desk. SD-WAN is a strong place to start.
