Westcon-Comstor Delivers Device Provisioning, Management Solution

October 05, 2017

Swoop Datacom Ltd. and Westcon-Comstor have joined forces to launch a device provisioning and lifecycle management solution called ForgeServe.

“The pains created by overly complex technology have long been a hindrance to the migration from legacy telephony to SIP,” said John Bennett, CEO of Swoop Datacom, which developed ForgeServe. “Our goal is to deliver a cloud-based and seamless device lifecycle manager through a single point of access to the customer’s entire ecosystem.”

The ForgeServe offering will be available to channel partners via the Westcon-Comstor Unified Communications and Collaboration Solutions Practice. And it will enable them to customize and upgrade IP phones with just a few clicks.

ForgeServe enables zero-touch device provisioning, estate management, and device real-time change control. That can reduce customers’ operating expenses and allow solution providers to increase their margins.

“With the efficient systems built into ForgeServe you will not only free up the time of your internal team but that of your customers with quick and simple deployment of devices, complimented by instant connectivity to their supported telephone system,”  Swoop Datacom’s website explains. “Whether it be a hosted PBX, Broadsoft, Skype for Business, or an on-premise[s] IP PBX, we can handle the pairing of hardware and services.

“The beauty of ForgeServe is that we can connect any supported device to any platform of your choice enabling true zero-touch provisioning without the need to pre-stage the device. With our two-stage provisioning methodology you will save time and money in deployment alone which will be complimented greatly by the device management suite further empowering your ‘in-life’ support team.”

Westcon-Comstor is a value-added technology distributor of collaboration, data center, networking, and security solutions. The company’s Supply Chain Solutions business provides supply chain solutions from a variety of vendors. Those offerings include order logistics, new product introduction, integrated global solutions, procurement, inbound logistics, customized kitting and assembly, configuration, order fulfillment and reverse logistics solutions.
