Ooredoo to Deliver More Cloud Services with Cisco Solutions

The GCC states in the Middle East are one of the fastest adopters of ICT in the world. The incredible wealth of these nations has allowed them to leapfrog many of the obsolete technologies, and start with the state of the art solutions. Ooredoo, a communications company delivering services across the Middle East, North Africa and Southeast Asia, is one of the companies making this possible. As demand for its cloud services continues to increase, the company announced initiatives to enhance its next generation business services with Cisco (News - Alert).

Both Ooredoo and Cisco pointed out a high demand for Cloud Voice and Collaboration Suite, as more organizations deploy the solution in the region. Cloud services are also being driven by the increasing connected infrastructure in the GCC states.

The cloud services Ooredoo offers are based on Cisco's Hosted Collaboration Solution (HCS). The HCS platform delivers comprehensive communications solutions with the different types of cloud deployment, giving organizations multiple options for managing their services.

The Cisco HCS offers secure collaboration solutions for public, private, and hybrid clouds. The unified architecture of this platform delivers industry-leading voice and video capabilities as a service. The voice service, which are based on VoIP, include call processing, extension mobility, third party phone integration, unified directories, dial via office, and least-cost routing.

The video calling and conferencing has been designed for simple integration. It provides interoperability, virtual meeting room (VMR) bridging, and secure B2B and B2C calling options for video collaboration across devices and locations.

The Cloud Voice and Collaboration Suite leverages HCS so businesses can extend their communication services with on-demand scalability and flexibility along with the collaborative tools that are essential for today's workforce. It delivers immersive video conferencing, instant messaging, intelligent voicemail and more as part of a Unified Communications (News - Alert) (UC) solution that integrates all the tools employees need.
