BroadSoft Gives Shaw Business Scalable UC

Scalability is an important feature for solutions providers. It projects faith in customer businesses and eliminates unnecessary costs of growth for SMBs. That’s why Shaw Communications, a Canadian network and content experience company, has selected BroadSoft’s SmartVoice unified communications (UC) solution to provide its SMB customers with the scalability they need.

Shaw Communications provides communication and media solutions to 3.2 million customers in Canada. The company has a customer base of individual consumers and businesses, and the services it provides include, Internet, data, Wi-Fi, telephony, video and fleet tracking services. The business infrastructure segment of the company delivers co-location, cloud and managed services for enterprises in North America.

By leveraging BroadSoft's UC-One platform, Shaw will be able to deliver UC and advanced voice features to small-medium business (SMB) customers with access to a full communications portfolio. This includes making UC available on a single device so employees of a company can collaborate as part of a mobile workforce no matter where they are.

The SmartVoice Key UC solution has advanced voice features that are essential for the customers Shaw is serving by bringing communications resources together and making them available. This includes, instant messaging and presence, instant multi-party conference calling, desktop sharing as well as add-on features meet me conferencing, auto attendant, and reception console.
