Citrix & Kony Partner to Entice Enterprise Mobile Adoption

The nature of business and enterprise has changed vastly over the years. Regularly we hear, see and read about trends like the remote workforce, telecommuting and improving enterprise mobility as a whole. Demand has placed a premium on being able to deliver instant access to communication and collaboration tools regardless of location. Two companies that know a thing or two about enterprise communications and mobility made an announcement addressing just that demand.

Citrix Systems (News - Alert), known for its GoToMeeting product, announced a partnership with Kony, the self-proclaimed fastest-growing, cloud-based enterprise mobility solutions company. The duo teamed up to provide clients with unique mobile applications that start with initial design and development and continue through enterprise mobility operations and management.

President, Product and marketing at Kony David Shirk noted in a recent blog post, “We want to empower enterprises to fast track their mobile strategy, with a comprehensive, proven, mobile-centric approach.”

How will they being achieving this? Well, Kony Apps is the short answer. Kony Apps are now verified by the Citrix Ready program, and are locked and loaded to speed up enterprise mobility adoption.

Kony provides mobiles sales, service, retail banking and healthcare solutions ensuring that whether the user is in the office, at a meeting or on the road they remain within the communications loop, and provided with the data, resources and capability to address whatever the need may be.

Mobile is no longer a luxury in the enterprise. The growth of the remote workforce, BYOD and disparate teams creates a need for mobility solutions. Mobile is an integral channel for internal and external communication, collaboration and engagement.

Shirk proclaimed in the announcement, “Enterprise mobile apps are no longer a nice to have. It has now become a strategic imperative for businesses to effectively compete in this new mobile era.”

The applications, according to Vice President of Mobile Application Platform at Citrix Scott Schwarzoff, “will significantly empower customers to accelerate their mobile strategy to deliver world-class mobile experiences.”

Only time will tell what the future holds for this budding friendship, but it is clear that mobility is a priority for the enterprise. Whether it’s connecting with customers through mobile apps, reporting and analyzing data or joining a conference call, these occurrences are entering the realm of ubiquity in our mobile, always plugged-in, always-on world.
