Frontier Named Mitel's Top Revenue-Generating Partner for Cloud and On-Premises Communications Services
Unified communications (UC) and cloud giant Mitel and Frontier Communications have worked hard on forging and strengthening their partnership over the years. Now Frontier, which specializes in providing cloud communications services as well as contact center and hospitality solutions, has become Mitel’s top revenue-generating partner.
Frontier has in fact held that position for the past two years, blossoming out of the companies’ 25-year relationship with Frontier as a Mitel-authorized partner. The service provider offers Mitel solutions to its business customers in 28 states, working to standardize on Mitel’s voice and UC solutions. Frontier is also a Mitel specialist in the areas of cloud communications, contact center and hospitality solutions.
Both companies recently participated in the ITEXPO Miami 2015 event as leaders in the communications arena. Richard McBee, president and CEO of Mitel, was a keynote speaker at the event, discussing how cloud communications technologies are transforming the UC industry and shaping how enterprise users connect and collaborate. Josh Haslett, vice president of system engineering at Mitel, also participated in two sessions at the ITEXPO event with a focus on UC trends. Frontier was part of the event as well, with Dennis Bloss, VP/GM North Carolina taking part in a keynote panel.
"As our strong revenue shows, the Frontier partnership with Mitel is a great benefit for our companies,” said Mike Daniel, senior vice president, carrier and customer premise equipment for Frontier. “More important, our customers and end users benefit from the flexible solutions and services we jointly provide. This recognition is a reflection of the value we deliver with Mitel to our customers."
Frontier’s target market for Mitel cloud and premises-based solutions includes public and private universities as well as hospitals, municipalities and businesses of all sizes. On the heels of its Mitel partner success, Frontier also announced a multi-year partnership with television entertainment provider TiVo. The service provider will be marketing and deploying Tivo’s suite of products and services to residential and business customers.
The partnership will include the first deployment of TiVo’s Roamio DVR video offering with over-the-air support. The service receives content both over the Internet and over-the-air to give customers the widest range of content options.
