RingCentral (News - Alert) today introduces a new cloud-based solution called RingCentral Office Enterprise Edition that delivers an integrated conferencing, fax, text and voice experience across all endpoints, including desktop phones, PCs and Macs and mobile devices. The premium version of the offering adds to that call recording and cloud integrations. And the enterprise version ups the ante further, with multipoint mobile and desktop high-definition video, and mobile and desktop web conferencing.

The standard offering sells for $24.99 per user per month. The premium option is provided for $34.99 per user per month. And the enterprise version is priced at $44.99 per user per month.

Praful Shah, RingCentral’s senior vice president of strategy, says that’s a very good deal considering GoToMeeting and WebEx each sell for $49.99 per user per month, and that’s only for the conferencing piece. Meanwhile, RingCentral offers an integrated experience that includes a cloud-based PBX/phone system with conferencing, integrations, and support for mobility, adds Shah, who worked with WebEx before Cisco (News - Alert) Systems bought it.

RingCentral seems especially excited about RingCentral Meetings, which is the high-definition voice and video conferencing feature of the enterprise version of RingCentral Office Enterprise Edition. It works on desktops, but was designed with mobility in mind, says Shah. That’s unique, he indicates, as unlike some other platforms, RingCentral Meetings offers mobile users the same capability as those on desktops.

Powered by technology from Zoom Video Communications Inc., RingCentral Meetings works on Android (News - Alert), iOS, Mac, and Windows devices. It allows for web and screen share; lets users share content that lives in the cloud on such services as Box and Dropbox (News - Alert); and allows users to initiate video communications with a single click.

RingCentral technology also is integrated with Salesforce out of the box. Incoming calls prompt Salesforce to present a screen pop on the incoming call, and the user can advance that call to a video meeting, invite others to join, and demonstrate product to caller.

“It’s on integrated product,” says Shah, “but more importantly, it’s seamless.”

Users of the RingTel solution include Geary LSF Group and Teles Properties.
