Citrix ByteMobile has taken home a rather prestigious award for the second straight year. Earlier this week, the company announced that its T3100 Adaptive Traffic Manager had been named the winner of the 2013 LTE (News - Alert) award for Best LTE Traffic Management Product. Informa and Telecoms.com, the two companies that decide which products win this prestigious award said that the T3100 took home the trophy because of the critical role it plays in LTE deployments around the globe.

Chris Koopmans, vice president and general manager of Service Provider Platforms at Citrix touted the traffic management solution’s victory in a recent release.

“For the second year in a row, Citrix ByteMobile has been recognized as the leader in LTE Traffic Management, reinforcing both the importance of managing video in LTE networks and the value that Citrix can bring to operators as they deploy LTE,” Koopmans said.

He added that Mobile video is working to transform business models and operator networks in the LTE sector. The traffic management solution that won the award is geared towards helping its users better manage the growth that is being seen in that particular pocket of the mobile market.

The T-series Adaptive Traffic Management Systems utilize a fully integrated hardware and software architecture that is built specifically for the new generation of mobile networks (3G and 4G). The package contains both the ByteMobile optimization as well as deep packet inspection ability. The end result is a solution that allows users to have a better overall product that can reduce churn and increase revenues.

The ByteMobile solution is now operating with more than 130 different operators in over 60 different countries. In total, there are more than two billion subscribers who are reaping the benefit of its networks across the globe.
