BCS Global Wins European Frost & Sullivan Award

Recently, Frost & Sullivan (News - Alert) honored BCS Global with the 2012 European Frost & Sullivan Award for Service Provider of the Year.

For many years now, BCS Global Networks Limited has been offering managed videoconferencing, telepresence and visual collaboration services. The company's innovative videoconferencing and telepresence solutions enables interactive video collaboration, allowing participants to connect seamlessly from their telepresence suites, boardroom systems, desktops, laptops, smartphones or tablets.

In addition to these services, BCS offers a scalable application that is able to cross ISDN, IP, 3G mobile and standard broadband video connectivity. The company claims to be the first to introduce support for IPv6 and interworking between v6 and v4 video endpoints as well as the first to launch cloud-based mobile enterprise video services based on scalable video coding (SVC).

"BCS Global has a very strong visual collaboration services portfolio. Its focus on heterogeneous endpoint connectivity and eliminating the technology complexity addresses a key pain point for customers. Focusing primarily on managed video services makes it easier for BCS Global to offer its white label services to other providers, without competing with them on other aspects of their service offering," said Frost & Sullivan research director Adrian Drozd. "The result was a robust 128 percent revenue growth in 2011."

Drozd also added that BCS Global also delivered significant achievements in 2011 in terms of major service enhancements, partnerships and customer wins.

The company initiated the Open Visual Communications Consortium (OVCC) and this consortium introduced cloud-based managed desktop video services and also gained partnership with XConnect (News - Alert) to interconnect with its global video exchanges.
