Cisco Recognizes Solution Deployment Expertise of Nexus IS

Nexus IS, Inc was recently recertified by Cisco as a Gold Partner, after the company successfully completed a rigorous audit process. The Masters Specializations in Unified Communications and Security partnership confirms that Nexus has met the stringent standards set forth by Cisco in assessing key business and technical competencies.

Cisco has partners who specialize in deploying solutions based on Cisco’s advanced services and technologies. Through certifications and specializations, Cisco recognizes a partner’s competency and expertise. The company employs a third party audit program to validate a partner’s business practices, technical competencies, and customer management skills including pre-sales and post-sales support capabilities and customer satisfaction along with other vital factors essential for choosing a trusted solution provider.

In a release, Edison Peres, vice president and chief go-to-market officer for Worldwide Channels at Cisco said that “As the network becomes the platform for driving communications and innovation, our customers are demanding an enhanced set of skills and capabilities from channel partners. Nexus’ ongoing investment in their Gold Certification and Master Specializations in Unified Communications and Security ranks them among the industry’s elite.”

To achieve this partnership status, Nexus IS was required to conform to a set of rigorous standards including those of Cisco’s and the industry-standard technical certification requirements as well. Waheed Choudhry, president and COO of Nexus said, “I am delighted and proud of our team’s performance - led by our VP of Engineering Mike Heiman and VP of Professional Services Dale Hardy in achieving the recertification of our Gold Partnership and Masters Specializations with Cisco”.

The audit process also required Nexus to provide customer references that documented development and deployment capabilities as prescribed by Cisco. Through these references, Cisco assessed Nexus’ infrastructure capabilities required to offer and support a complete Lifecycle Service for customers.

Choudhry continued, “Our experience and expertise are what differentiate Nexus and we are committed to maintaining the highest standards of technical execution in order to best serve our customers.” Nexus, through this recertification as a Cisco Gold Partner has continued to demonstrate a high level of expertise in different areas of technology including security, routing and switching, unified communications, and wireless LAN.
