LG-Ericsson USA recently expanded its portfolio of integrated voice-video-data communications solutions with the addition of a new business-enabled communications system that offers comprehensive business communications for mixed TDM/IP environments. Called, iPECS-MG, the solution is currently available through LG-Ericsson's trained and certified resellers, the company said in a press release.

By helping gain from both the existing infrastructure and an advanced IP environment, iPECS-MG is said to bring the best of the both worlds. LG-Ericsson USA's Director of Product Marketing Iain Kenney said that iPECS-MG has been designed keeping the SMB priorities in mind. Leveraging LG-Ericsson’s technologies and architecture, the iPECS-MG makes a highly-reliable, extensible and feature-rich business telephony platform that integrates PSTN, IP and mobile networks.

This SMB focused business-enabled communications system is expected to make the deployment of next-generation TDM-based communications environment easier for small businesses. By enabling a smooth transition to a more flexible, adaptable, integrated IP-based comprehensive communications environment, the system is believed to be extremely helpful for the growth of the SMBs.

LG-Ericsson’s portfolio covers a range of products, ranging from the small ipLDK-60 hybrid communications system to the top-to-bottom Pure IP iPECS-LIK system. As a standalone solution, the iPECS-MG can be combined with a full range of LG-Ericsson voice and data products and accessories to create a complete converged business communications system, LG-Ericsson said. According to LG-Ericsson, iPECS-MG supports a full range of fixed or mobile LG-Ericsson handsets (IP or digital) and conference phones.

LG-Ericsson makes this solution available through its trained resellers. Like all of the company's voice products, iPECS-MG   will be backed by LG-Ericsson USA's comprehensive five-year warranty and expert, US headquarters-based technical support, the company said.

A few months back, LG-Ericsson launched the SBG-1000, its new virtual PBX communications management system for small office/small business customers. The product was designed to power pure IP communications for virtually all of the demanding business communication applications in environments of up to 20 employees/users.
