Mimecast has cemented its position in the hosted Exchange e-mail management space, as its Unified-e-mail-Management (UEM) solution was acknowledged by the Tech Awards Circle. In addition, its customer service also received a boost when it was recognized with the Best in Biz Awards

"These awards are just two more pieces of evidence as to why Mimecast is one of the strongest, most well-respected companies in the email management space -- we're focused on creating what our customers need and delivering it flawlessly," said David Goldberg, vice president of product strategy at Mimecast.

The Tech Awards Circle, which searches for the "best-of-the-best" within each category in the IT market, identified Mimecast's UEM worthy of gold recognition in the “Midrange Service” category. UEM's ability to provide business continuity even during server downtime and other impressive value-added services were lauded.

Competition was fierce for recognition in the customer service category, and Mimecast's long-standing commitment to address user problems promptly using its multi-platform approach to customer service paid off when it netted bronze-level recognition.

"Our solutions are built by expert developers to deliver everything our customers expect, every time they use our service. We've made it our organizational mission to make sure that any problems are addressed quickly and properly, and that's something our customers really appreciate,” said Goldberg in a statement.

In addition to these two awards, Mimecast achieved another dual delight in 2011 when it was named a finalist for Microsoft (News - Alert) Innovative Customer Advocacy Partner of the Year and also won the MSExchange.org Readers' Choice Award.

In other news, Mimecast recently announced that it extended its mobile services to the iPhone (News - Alert). With the Mimecast iPhone App, employees gain a bottomless mobile inbox, and the ability to search and access archived e-mails from their mobile device. The new Mimecast iPhone App is free and available now for download from the App Store.
