AudioCodes and serVonic Team up for Unified Communications Platform

Two of the top companies in their field, AudioCodes (News - Alert) and serVonic have formed an alliance that could make the two companies the kings of a different kind of tech realm. The two companies have formed the kind of partnership that will allow them to offer better data connections as well as connectivity to Microsoft Unified Communications (News - Alert) (UC), Microsoft Exchange Server 2010 and Lync Server 2010. In addition, the partnership will be able to take advantage of serVonic’s existing tech to add fax and UC components where none existed before.

This is not the first time serVonic has teamed up with a company industry outsiders might not have expected. These two companies however, seem to be a match made in heaven once you think about the different things both companies bring to the dance. serVonic is one of the leading companies when it comes to unified messaging and high tech fax solutions. On the flipside, AudioCodes is one of the world’s leaders in VoIP and Voice Network (VN) products. 

Director of Sales for the DACH region at AudioCodes Germany, Eric Steger, announced the two companies success in a press release. ““We are delighted that after the successful testing we previously carried out with Microsoft (News - Alert) Exchange Server 2007 and Office Communications Server, the latest configuration now works perfectly, as well: Microsoft’s UC components and serVonic’s IXI-UMS software operate seamlessly together with AudioCodes Media Gateways.”

Jochen Klein, CEO of serVonic, was equally pleased with the way his company’s tech worked in this particular partnership. “The tests with AudioCodes’ Mediant products confirmed the compatibility between our UC solution and the Microsoft environment including Microsoft Exchange Server 2010 and Lync Server 2010. In this combination, all the required components for UCC Unified Communications & Collaboration can be provided to customers according to their needs.”

The two companies’ technology combines to build a very impressive IXI-UMS VoIPconnect module that allows flexibility for those who are looking to use Microsoft Exchange servers as well as the Lync Servers. When the technology is used on the Mediant Gateway (News - Alert) platform the flexibility, speed and performance is something to be reckoned with.
