Global Surpasses 2,000,000 Milestone in Telephone Numbers Deployed
j2 Global Communications, Inc. is celebrating the occasion of reaching the two million mark in paid telephone numbers deployed. In 11 years, until 2007, the number grew from zero to 1,000,000 subscribers and it took less than five years to grow to 2,000,000 subscribers, said the company officials.
Hemi Zucker, chief executive officer of j2 Global said that they signed up their first subscriber 15 years ago and today have more than 2,000,000 subscribers: 270,000 voice subscribers, 550,000 corporate fax users and nearly 1.2 million paying individual and small business fax subscribers. The company also service 11.3 million free individual business fax and voice subscribers.

Since its inception in 1995 and launching its first service in 1996, j2 Global has evolved into a global provider of cloud services for business, including online fax (eFax), virtual voice (eVoice), unified communications (Onebox), hosted email (FuseMail), online backup (KeepItSafe) and email marketing (Campaigner).
"In addition to achieving this important milestone of 2,000,000 subscribers to our telephony-based services, j2 Global has executed on its strategy to expand into complementary, non-telephony-based cloud services, such as outsourced email, online backup and email marketing," said Scott Turicchi, president of j2 Global.
Turicchi said that these non-telephony services now comprise approximately $25 million in annual revenues, nearly double their $13 million level for 2010.
j2 Global provides live sales and customer service support in multiple languages, including English, Spanish, Dutch, German, French, Cantonese and more. With offices in eight cities worldwide, j2 Global's network spans more than 4,600 cities in 49 countries on six continents.
