InterCall (News - Alert), a subsidiary of West Corporation, and one of the largest service providers in the world specializing in conference communications, recently announced that the new Pay Per Minute and license pricing models for Adobe Connect in North America are now available through channel partners.

Hoping to develop a new product and pricing option or the ever-expanding Adobe Connect and InterCall channel customer base, the offering is the direct result of collaboration between the two companies.

“The addition of Adobe Connect to our channel offering will greatly strengthen our channel partners’ product portfolio by adding a competitively priced and industry-recognized web conferencing platform,” said Brad Dupee, vice president of channel sales for InterCall, in a release.

Adobe Connect will be sold by InterCall agents and resellers to three key target markets: Commercial, Education, and Non-Profit. Based on Adobe Flash technology, this full-featured web conferencing platform is ideal for these markets because it provides high-quality video, custom branded meeting rooms, and integrated Reservationless-Plus audio conferencing.

The Adobe Connect offering is currently available with Adobe Connect 8 Service Pack 1 in North America.

West Corporation has been very active in looking to expand its presence in the unified communications space. In April, West added to its expanding UC business, which includes InterCall, by announcing the acquisition of Smoothstone (News - Alert), a provider of cloud-based communications solutions for the enterprise.

During last week’s Channel Partners Expo in Chicago, Robert Wise, Executive Vice President for Unified Communications (News - Alert) Services at InterCall, dicussed the recent news with TMC.

“Interest is very high right now,” Wise said. “We are making acquisitions, investing in streaming technology, and are in the process of creating a full CaaS solution.”

In related news, InterCall recently worked with Microsoft (News - Alert) to develop a solution that integrates its Reservationless–Plus audio conferencing platform with Microsoft Lync Online. InterCall, a Microsoft Silver Certified Partner and national systems integrator (NSI), is one of only three providers worldwide to offer integrated audio conferencing with Lync.
