Enventis SingleLink Unified Communications Finishes 10 Years in the Market

August 23, 2011

HickoryTech’s subsidiary Enventis has reason to celebrate, as its SingleLink Unified Communications been in the market for 10 years now and the company is celebrating its 10-year anniversary.

SingleLink is a solution that replaces collection of voice and data equipment, services and vendors with a single centrally managed hosted VoIP communications service. In recent years, this solution has gone through continual improvements such as, a newly implemented, feature-rich voice mail platform and money-saving bundles that offer customers numerous features at a cost-effective rate.

According to the company, the latest SingleLink Unified Communications offers a complete modern business communications system via a hosted service model. Users get best-in-class telephony, unified messaging, call center features and more without the need to buy any onsite servers or applications.

“The 10-year anniversary of our SingleLink Unified Communications marks an important milestone for Enventis,” said Carol Wirsbinski, chief operating officer at HickoryTech. “Being an early pioneer offering hosted VoIP services, we have made continued enhancements to our SingleLink Unified Communications service.”

SingleLink leverages Voice over IP technology, aka VoIP or IP telephony, over a private managed connection (not over the public Internet like most consumer services). VoIP enables advanced voice functionality, voice interoperability with PC applications and unmatched scalability, all while keeping costs low, says the company officials.

“Our goal was to find a system that would support us in the future and increase productivity and SingleLink has proved to do just that,” said Nancy McCoy, director of office management at Care Providers of Minnesota, who implemented Enventis’ SingleLink solution to achieve important cost savings.

“We know we made the right decision in choosing Enventis. It’s rare to get such wonderful service,” McCoy added.

Enventis has been offering integrated voice, data and network communication solutions to businesses and service providers across the upper Midwest. Leveraging its multi-state fiber optic network, Enventis provides IP telephony, high-capacity transport services and MPLS.
