Intermedia Offers Microsoft Office 365
To provide cloud services to small and mid-sized businesses, Intermedia, a company in cloud services and the largest Microsoft Exchange hosting provider, have signed an agreement with Microsoft to offer solutions that include Microsoft Office 365. Intermedia is a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner. It is among a few organizations offering Office 365 to market.
According to a press release, businesses will set up and manage Office 365 from Intermedia's HostPilot Control Panel - an intuitive control panel that enables administration to be delegated to non-technical staff.
Aziz Ben Malek, general manager, US Partner Hosting and Cloud Services said, “Office 365 is the next generation cloud productivity service from Microsoft. It brings together our best productivity solutions, packaged in a way that simplifies IT for the small and mid-size businesses that Intermedia serves. We are excited to have Intermedia as an Office 365 partner given their successful track record as one of Microsoft's top hosted productivity solution partners -- and their commitment to a superior customer experience around support, migration and ease of use.”
Microsoft Office 365 includes popular Microsoft productivity tools -- such as Exchange Online, SharePoint Online and Lync Online -- with the Microsoft Office suite on the web and on the desktop.
"We are in the middle of a historic shift from on-premise computing to the cloud," says Phil Koen, CEO, Intermedia. "Microsoft Office 365 is raising awareness of this shift's benefits to an unprecedented level, and Intermedia is thrilled to have been selected as a partner in the effort. By combining Office 365's popular Microsoft-delivered services with Intermedia's white-glove support experience and enhanced options for security and mobility, as well as other Intermedia cloud services, we can offer small and mid-size businesses additional, highly practical alternatives to tap into the cloud's full power."
All Intermedia services are managed through HostPilot, making it simple for Office 365 customers to add other Intermedia cloud services such as online backup, Outlook backup, hosted PBX, mobility, security and more. Intermedia's integrated approach gives businesses access to best-of-breed cloud services, but spares them from having to use multiple control panels or pay multiple bills.
In other company news, unified communications reported that Intermediahas launched as the newest addition to the unified communications global online community program.
