Video Guidance Becomes Polycom's Gold Solution Provider

Video Guidance, a visual communications company, announced that it has been named a Gold Solution Provider of Polycom (News - Alert), a global provider of unified communications (UC).


As a Gold Solution Provider, Video Guidance can reinforce its sales acumen and technical expertise. The title will also enable the company to offer best-in-class UC solutions to customers.

“We are extremely proud of our longstanding relationship with Polycom, which goes back to the earliest days when Video Guidance was formed,” said Michael Werch, president of Video Guidance. “With Polycom’s recent UC innovations announcements, we see more market opportunities for our business and for giving our customers the right solutions.”

Company officials said Polycom’s end-to-end unified communications will be demonstrated at Video Guidance’s Bloomington headquarters.

The recognition enables Video Guidance to view Polycom solutions, from desktop to room and immersive telepresence, including the Polycom Video Content Management (VCM) platform.

“Polycom Gold Solution Providers such as Video Guidance ensure that customers are receiving the highest quality technical expertise and sales support,” said Ron Myers, senior vice president of Global Channels, Polycom, in a statement. “We deliver to our partners industry-leading UC solutions to help customers improve collaboration, boost productivity and operate high-performing workplaces.”

Video Guidance partners with audio/visual equipment manufacturers to implement customized strategic communications. The company offers unlimited applications to help its customers to communicate more effectively and to exceed their business goals.

Due to its innovative marketing strategies, the company has reported a 64 percent increase in booked sales and 38 percent increase in revenue during the second quarter of 2011 over the same period in 2010. The company has also had a 43 percent increase in booked sales during the second quarter of 2011 over the first quarter of 2011.

Recently, Video Guidance announced the installation of video communications system at University of Minnesota Amplatz Children's Hospital to connect young patients with their families.
