FusionOne (News - Alert), the number one player in the field of mobile content portability has announced the integration and optimization of the company's MightyBackup solution with Qualcomm's (News - Alert) Brew Mobile Platform (Brew MP), as a part of Qualcomm's 3Pre Program.

MightyBackup stores and transfers mobile phone content like the contacts, photos and videos, and the purchased content. Using it the users are able to manage their stored content through an online web interface and if required, they can also remotely purge the content on their lost phones, hence keeping their personal information secure. Using MightyBackup subscribers can get continuity security along with easy data protection and migration; content developers can sustain and grow their revenue streams; whereas the carriers are able to build customer goodwill and improve customer retention.

In a release, Mohan Sadashiva (News - Alert) the Senior Vice President of Marketing at FusionOne said, 'With tens of millions of downloads coming from a tier-1 carrier branded version, MightyBackup is already the number-one most-downloaded Brew app, and this Brew MP-enabled version builds on that success. With more than 80 percent of mobile phone users in the U.S. still on feature phones and looking to transition to smartphones in the near future, the need for an efficient service that ensures a smooth transfer of content is more important than ever.'

Sadashiva mentioned that the Brew MP version of MightBackup is presently available as a carrier-branded application. The application is backward compatible with older versions of Brew offering integration capabilities for Brew application developers.

FusionOne works in collaboration with carriers and service providers helping mobile subscribers transfer their content between mobile devices and share their content across popular internet services. FusionOne is the pioneer in the field of mobile phone content transfer and its products, like MightyBackup, Handset Transfer Solution, Network Address Book and Social Address Book have won numerous awards. These products are presently supporting millions of subscribers across all major mobile platforms. Around two billion phone contacts have been efficiently managed and protected by FusionOne's products, creating the foundation for the world's largest social network.
