Antenna Introduces Mobile Masters, an Independent Online Community

By Deepika Mala, TMCnet Contributor

Mobile Masters, an independent online community has been launched by Antenna, for mobile-minded professionals to learn more about strategic enterprise mobility, discuss challenges, share triumphs and collaborate on best practices.

Blogs, videos and a host of other interactive resources targeting the latest in user-focused enterprise mobility, are featured in the site.

More than 1.2 billion people, according to IDC (News - Alert), by 2013, will be mobile. By treating mobility strategically, innovative organizations are positioning themselves to take advantage of the enormous opportunities that lie ahead. This means developing and executing on both employee- and consumer-focused mobile initiatives that enable people to interact with business as executives, professionals, partners, customers, patients and guests in powerful new ways.

For those mobile champions driving the world's most successful enterprise mobility strategies and changing the way people work with business applications and devices, the Mobile Masters global community is the new meeting place.

'We like to say that Mobile Masters is slightly ahead of the mobile times,' Tony Rizzo (News - Alert), a 23-year industry veteran, the site's number one mobile master and mobile observatory blogger, said. 'We're working hard to create a global community that focuses on the exchange of pragmatic, proven ideas, new technologies and imaginative strategies that work in today's mobile-centric world. Perhaps most importantly, we're here to push the envelope just a bit -- not to the bleeding edge, but rather we aim to give you a true competitive edge through mobility.'

The highlighting features of the community include:

Mobile Masters blogs, which keep up with what's happening in the global mobile market via daily blogs from industry experts and guests. Topics include: mobile politics, M&A insights, mobile app development tips, gadgets and much more

Mobile Masters TV, where users can watch videos from mobile developers, technologists, business users and other innovators that offer a glimpse into what's hot today and where the market is going tomorrow.

A series of discussion forums, where users can engage in debates, ask questions, get answers. Learn about what your mobile peers are doing or share your advice and experience with others
News and Polls: Participate in weekly polls and detailed surveys, and access the latest and greatest articles on enterprise mobility, new devices, industry research and more.

And the Mobile Masters resource center, which gives access a repository of mobile app and device reviews and previews, videos, podcasts, Webinars, case studies, white papers and more from industry experts

Lastly, there is a Mobile Masters summit. This annual event brings together Mobile Masters in real time.

'I am looking forward to participating in the Mobile Masters community, a great forum and resource for people to share their experiences with smart enterprise mobility,' Dave Rudzinsky, senior vice president of information services and chief information officer of Hologic said. 'The community will be helpful to anyone interested in making mobility a strategic part of their business. I don't know any other resource available that does just that.'

'Mobile Masters offers some great resources for our customers, but we want to encourage more people to join the conversation,' Jim Hemmer, president and CEO of Antenna (also a featured blogger on the site), said. 'The independent nature of the community allows us to step outside of our usual roles and let customers, partners and employees have a more personal voice. By showcasing effective mobile initiatives and providing invaluable information from mobile experts, we believe Mobile Masters will grow to be a thriving independent community for anyone looking at mobile technology as a way to transform their business.'
