Boingo Helps Two AEG Venues to Enhance Guest Experience during Events by Rolling Out Wireless Internet Access

Southern California's Home Depot Center and Citizens Business Bank Arena Boingo (News - Alert) Wireless, the world's biggest WiFi provider, has announced that it has signed an agreement for installing and operating their state-of-the-art enterprise-class WiFi (News - Alert) networks at The Home Depot Center in Carson, California and at Citizens Business Bank Arena in Ontario.

The guests at both these venues will be provided with Boingo's retail WiFi service, which is based on its neutral host roaming platform throughout both facilities, which include the seating areas, concessions, restaurants and hospitality areas. Guests will also be able to access the Internet on their smartphones, tablets, laptops and net books.
AEG Facilities an unconnected affiliate of AEG has developed and manages both these venues. AEG Facilities operates/consults with more than 100 of the industry's most excellent venues around the globe.
Jim Janowiak the Vice president of business development at Boingo said "Our partnership with these world-class venues is a significant coup for Boingo as we continue to expand our owned and operated network beyond airports. The Home Depot Center and Citizens Business Bank Arena mark the first venue-wide major spectator facilities within our managed network and we're aiming to add more locations like these to the lineup."
The Home Depot Center provides Southern California's best international competition and training facilities for amateur, Olympic, collegiate and professional athletes.
Katie Pandolfo the General Manager of The Home Depot Center said "Internet access has been a popular request among The Home Depot Center patrons -- especially those with smartphones -- and we are pleased to be able to offer WiFi access through our partnership with Boingo, who is a leader in providing Internet services in large venues.
Citizens Business Bank Arena was built and is owned by the City of Ontario, which is operated by AEG Facilities. It has an accommodation capacity 11,089 for concerts, 9,736 for ice hockey and 10,832 for basketball with the help of 9,500 fixed seats in addition to moveable seating risers.
