The Avalanche Suite of products were specifically created to manage client's mobile device and wireless infrastructure environment. Avalanche Mobility Center (MC) provides comprehensive management of each element of a wireless system, provisioning and maintaining all major brands of handheld mobile computers, wireless infrastructure devices and peripheral items such as printers and barcode scanners.

 

Apart from providing wireless infrastructure that works seamlessly across local and wide area networks, Wavelink Avalanche also provides centralized configuration, deployment and management of mobile devices. It improves the productivity of mobile workers, increases network security and reduces the total cost associated with owning and managing mobile devices and peripherals. It also improves ease of use, provide additional management capabilities and enhance network security.

The features provided with Wavelink Avalanche 5 include easy-to-use, Web-based console, device location mapping, WWAN enhancements, security and PCI (News - Alert) compliance enhancements, and two-way text messaging. Wavelink Avalanche 5, including both Avalanche Mobility Center (MC) and Avalanche Site Edition (SE), are now available through Wavelink partners. According to Wavelink, the new Avalanche much more intuitive and easy to use.

 

Recently, the company entered in to a partnership with InfoLogix to provide voice-enabled mobile solutions for SAP (News - Alert) customers. Hands-free operation that increases safety on the floor, maximizes workflow productivity and improves the accuracy of data input will be allowed by the addition of voice to SAP warehousing and inventory management transactions, stated the company in a press release.
