Carrier T-Mobile (News - Alert) announced today its upcoming exclusive availability of the first Android-powered smartphone integrated with Garmin's navigation system.
According to company officials, the Garminfone will be available later this spring. The smartphone is described as a "sleek, full-touch" 3G smartphone with a 3.5-inch screen.
T-Mobile officials said that the Garminfone brings together two increasingly popular devices in one state-of-the-art package, "delivering a rich, unique experience that no other smartphone or standalone navigation device can offer," according to George Harrison, vice president, marketing product innovation, T-Mobile USA.
Other features include a 3MP camera and the ability to geotag images. Garmin (News - Alert) services like gas prices, traffic and more are also offered.
