Citrix Online (News - Alert), a division of Citrix Systems, Inc., has launched its GoToMeeting App for iPad.  The new app is available on the App Store and boosts mobile work productivity by enabling anyone to attend an online meeting.

"The GoToMeeting App for iPad makes meetings-to-go effortless and visually stunning," Bernd Oliver Christiansen, vice president and chief technology officer of Citrix Online, said. "Increasing demands on the workforce have created an acute need for more mobility in our work styles. Most businesses have moved beyond the traditional 9-5 day, and need to maximize every minute of their time to be as productive as possible. We believe the GoToMeeting App for iPad is a great asset for mobile work productivity, since it goes places where workers wouldn't necessarily take a laptop, yet they are still able to attend meetings and get some serious work done."

The application is an easy-to-use, secure, cost-effective and fast way to meet, demonstrate products and collaborate online. Also, it becomes easy to join a meeting through the app. In addition, GoToMeeting App for iPad offers unlimited toll-based or free VoIP audio options.

Joining a meeting using iPad requires only an Internet connection and the GoToMeeting app.

"Mobile workforce enablement is a key strategic imperative for businesses of all sizes," Roopam Jain, principal analyst at Frost and Sullivan, a leading, growth consulting and research firm, says. "With the GoToMeeting App for iPad, businesses have greater flexibility for empowering their workforces to be more productive on their terms."

In related news, Citrix Systems has announced another new iPad app is now available in the App Store.
