Blogtronix Debuts Sharetronix a Micro-Blogging Platform

By Shamila Janakiraman, TMCnet Contributor

Blogtronix reportedly launched its new enterprise level, open source micro-blogging platform called Sharetronix. This is an open-source version of its micro-social platform.

Sharetronix is an enterprise-level, micro-blogging software which is available as an open source product. It already powers more than 1,500 micro-social communities in 74 countries and in 12 languages after Blogtronix released a beta version of the software in November.
Company sources said that this release of Sharetronix enhances the position of Blogtronix in the social media sector as it offers complete suite of engagement software along with an open-source and hosted micro-blogging platform. This release will be followed by the soft-launch of Blogtronix’ micro-social product called blogtronixMicro.
Sharetronix is the free version and blogtronixMicro will be the premium version.
“The entire world is moving toward open source,” CEO Vassil Mladjov said. “It’s more innovative, development occurs within a community of passionate users, thus creating faster adoption and more meaningful results.”
Besides enabling micro-blogging Sharetronix adds elements from the Blogtronix platform to make it a micro-social platform including social networking, user profiles, a real-time dashboard, advanced search, tagging, RSS aggregation, advanced search and activity feeds. It also includes others capabilities like rich multimedia and multilingual support.
The price and flexibility of the open source platform drives adoption within large businesses, universities, non-profits and the public sector. Sharetronix also creates open public communities expanding the ability of the organization to promote their brands, said company sources.
The open source version will let Blogtronix adapt its premium micro-social product according to the needs of customers. Also it will have a strong user base in place for its premium offering.
“The over 1,500 communities we now power has been instrumental in helping us develop what we believe is a world-class platform,” Sean Engmann, chief operations officer of Blogtronix. “I am eager to show off the innovations learned from these communities, when we launch our premium version.”
Blogtronix is a social software company which helps organizations derive the best out of their employees and also connect with customers by increasing the visibility of the brand. It gives enterprises the ability to adapt rapidly with any situation and maximize the flow of information inside and outside the organization.
