Venikom Mobile, a Macedonia-based application development company, recently announced the launch of a product that allows users to update their Facebook and Twitter status on-the-go and in record time. The new app, called Instant Status Updates 1.0, gives iPhone (News - Alert), iPad and iPod Touch owners the ability to post messages on both social networking sites at the same time.
The application's simultaneous status update feature was designed especially for active users who find themselves on their phone more often than behind their computer.
"We have created this instant update App in order to help people share their status with their friends five times faster on Facebook (News - Alert), four times faster on Twitter and 12 times faster on both of them at the same time," said Ivan Ivanovski, CEO of Venikom Mobile.
The paid app also includes geotagging functionality, enabling users to share their location when updating their status. It is compatible with iPhones, iPads and iPod Touches that run iOS 3.0 or later.
As MacWorld points out, the three-in-one application is not the first of its kind. HootSuite Media's rolled out a similar, more comprehensive app that allows users to simultaneously update multiple social media accounts, schedule Tweets in advance and receive notification alerts.
Venikom Mobile's $1 app was developed specifically for mobile users. In contrast, HootSuite's $3 application lets users manage multiple social media accounts on-the-go and from any desktop computer. Instant Status Updates 1.0 is currently available for purchase at the App Store.
Venikom is a software application company that was created in 1994. To tap into the burgeoning mobile device market, Venikom launched a development venture in 2008 that focused specifically on iPhones, iPads and iPod Touches.
