Sonus Networks, Inc., a major player in next-generation IP-based network solutions, has selected Iperia to deliver advanced voice and messaging capabilities over the Sonus internal corporate network.

Officials with Iperia said that the company’s unified voice messaging applications are integrated seamlessly with the corporate communication systems for use by all Sonus employees, whether in the office, working remotely, or mobile.

“Iperia’s platform flexibility, redundancy, and rich application suite are very well suited to our communications needs and were critical factors in shaping our decision,” said Bill Scudder, CIO of Sonus, in a statement.

Scudder said that not only is this project one of the company’s key strategic IT initiatives for 2010, but the company also plans to use this deployment to showcase what can be accomplished by integrating Sonus products in conjunction with Iperia’s capabilities as part of the sales and marketing efforts.

Company officials said that Sonus, based in Westford, Mass., has deployed the complete end-to-end IperiaVX solution, including Iperia Unified Voice Messaging, Conferencing, Auto Attendant, as well as Visual Messaging and Mobile Conferencing for Blackberry, iPhone (News - Alert), and Android smartphones, as well as the Apple iPad.

“Being selected by Sonus Networks for their internal use is a great compliment to our company and product capabilities,” said Sam Waicberg, CEO of Iperia.

Waicberg said that meeting the demands for market leaders like Sonus requires robust and innovative set of application capabilities.

Iperia is a provider of mobile applications and content delivery for service providers and enterprises.

The company’s flagship product, IperiaVX, is a next-generation service delivery platform that powers mobile, voice, video, conferencing, and messaging application suites delivered either on-premise or as a cloud-based solution.
