ITEXPO Witnesses Cbeyond Expanded Portfolio with Mobile Workforce Manager

Small business voice and broadband Internet provider, Cbeyond today unveiled it is enhancing its productivity enhancing applications product suite with the addition of its Mobile Workforce Manager.

This new mobile location-based services and resource management application suite is supported by software from Xora, global innovator in the rapidly expanding Mobile Resource Management (MRM) market.
With the addition of Cbeyond (News - Alert) Mobile Workforce Manager, companies with field service operations will gain increased revenue opportunities and reduced operating costs.
Because the service is hosted on Cbeyond's network, small businesses do not need to invest in any software or IT infrastructure to use Cbeyond Mobile Workforce Manager. All they have to do is purchase a smartphone and mobile data plan from Cbeyond and download the application wirelessly.
Once they load the application, Cbeyond customers will gain instant access to the location of their mobile employees, proviging them with instant savings with reduced payroll and overtime costs, fewer fleet miles, and increased mobile employee productivity. According to the company, savings can reach an estimated $1,500 per mobile employee, per year.

In addition, with the Cbeyond Mobile Workforce Manager's Web-based interface, small businesses can keep a close watch on the location and status of all field-based employees. This capability increases productivity and makes workers more accountable for their time.
The application also automates payroll by providing an easy-to-use and tamper-proof method of collecting employee timecards. Cbeyond Mobile Workforce Manager is also eco-friendly as it eliminates inefficient paper-based processes and saves energy by avoiding manual data entry by integrating with back-office systems, like QuickBooks.
Since the Cbeyond Mobile Workforce Manager also provides real-time visibility into field worker locations, workers can be assigned new jobs based their location, improving customer service and fleet efficiency.
Another benefit is that Cbeyond Mobile Workforce Manger is able monitor driver speeds, reducing traffic violations, lowering fuel and insurance costs and improving driver safety. Mobile workers are able to gather important details from the field by including pictures and voice notes along with job reports.

Cbeyond Mobile Workforce Manager can be purchased via a wireless download for the BlackBerry (News - Alert) 8830, BlackBerry Pearl, BlackBerry Curve, and Moto Q 9c smartphones. Users must purchase a data plan ($40 per month) with each smartphone. There is a $25 set-up fee and a $20 per month service fee per smartphone for Cbeyond Mobile Workforce Manager.
