ITEXPO: FaxBack (News - Alert) Platform Gets Native Support for AudioCodes ATA

VoIP fax server company FaxBack has enabled its entire product line of NET SatisFAXtion Fax Solutions and fax servers to include complete native support for AudioCodes’ (News - Alert) HTTPS Fax Enabled MP-202B ATA via the Fax Connection Server. The company will be exhibiting its products at booth 319 at this week’s ITEPXO, being held at the Los Angeles Convention Center through Wednesday.

FaxBack officials confirm this integration will allow VoIP providers using the NET (News - Alert) SatisFAXtion Carrier & Provider Edition to offer a “truly reliable fax machine-to-VoIP provider connectivity to customers.”

This new support for the AudioCOdes HTTPS Fax Enabled MP-202B ATA, with FaxBack’s NET SatisFAXtion solutions, produces a multi-capable, fax service delivery platform ideal for VoIP providers of any type. Customers will have access to a complete range of VoIP fax services, including:

  • Fax machine connections with the AudioCodes HTTPS Fax Enabled MP-202B ATA;
  • “Windows Fax and Scan” connectivity via FaxBack’s VoIP Plug-in for Microsoft (News - Alert) fax;
  • Fax-to-email and e-mail-to-fax;
  • HTTPS real-time trunk connection to premise-based NET SatisFAXtion fax servers

Using open Internet, wireless, cellular and satellite connections -- with reliability of direct PSTN and SIP T.38 connections – the AudioCodes HTTPS Fax Enabled MP-202B ATA device flexibly connects fax machines and MFPs in real-time to VoIP networks. According to FaxBack officials, the AudioCodes device ensures reliability for fax machines to connect to VoIP networks over the open Internet, including low-quality, latent or unsecured networks.

With added features to the fax machine, FaxBack said it will be easier for businesses and users to transition to VoIP-based faxing without a loss of dependability. Additional features include full E911 support in conjunction with HTTPS fax connections; audio connection confirmations that allow users to hear misdialed fax numbers; e-mail-based fax and printed notifications; advanced carrier-focused diagnostics with automatic and aged-out packet capture; and multiple fax delivery options including fax machine, Microsoft fax, e-mail and web portals.

 “Delivering fax machine-to-VoIP provider connectivity is the most common and important fax request that VoIP service providers get from their customers, and we’re making it easy for them to fulfill this request with a complete, flexible, and scalable solution with more features for fax machine users,” said Quentin Dible, vice president of operations for FaxBack.

The NET SatisFAXtion can also be a fax solution for small- to medium-sized businesses, as well as enterprise customers. Using the Small Business and Enterprise editions of NET SatisFAXtion, customers can connect premise and remote network/office fax machines and Multi-Function Printers to their existing NET SatisFAXtion fax server solution, using open Internet, cellular and satellite connections.

Customers will then be able to simply send, receive and manage faxes from their desktop through e-mail and business software such as Microsoft Word. The fax server, which can be easily installed via traditional phone lines or VoIP networks, also integrates with document management systems in order to facilitate HIPAA/SOX compliance. However, for companies with multiple locations, NET SatisFAXtion can capture inbound faxes and electronically route them to a remote user’s inbox, or to a remote printer.

FaxBack also announced today at ITEXPO West 2010 general availability for its HTTPS Fax Platform, which enables fax machines, desktop fax applications and NET SatisFAXtion fax servers to stream fax data over low-quality Internet connections, with TDM levels of dependability.

AudioCode is also a Platinum sponsor of ITEXPO and is exhibiting their solutions in booth # 312. Director of Market Development, Alan Percy (News - Alert), will also present during, “Meet the HD Handset Vendors,” today at 8:30AM.
