CommuniGator has introduced advanced inbox testing for all of the commonly used operating systems for handheld email devices such as BlackBerry, iPhone and Windows Mobile.

 

One of the key factors in successful email marketing has been rendering of HTML emails in the inboxes of the widely used desktop email clients and online ESPs, noted company officials.

 

Last year, the company introduced the Inbox Checker that returns the users screenshot images of how their emails will be displayed in programs such as Outlook and Lotus Notes, as well as providers such as Hotmail, Yahoo and Gmail.

 

Additionally, the HTML emails are rated by spam filtering devices. Company officials said that this gives an indication of how likely email communications are to be delivered, and also a clear indication of what the recipient will see when they arrive.

 

Lee Chadwick, managing director at CommuniGator, said that with the ever increasing usage of handheld devices for email it is vital for the marketer to understand the recipient experience on receipt of HTML emails.

 

“Following the successful launch of our Inbox Checker module, the next step in our product roadmap was to provide a view of how emails will render in the more popular of these devices, for example BlackBerry (News - Alert) and iPhone,” Chadwick said. 

 

There is now a facility that provides customers with screenshots and scrolling images prior to sending of campaigns, giving a crucial insight into the recipient’s perception of each piece of HTML that the customers send, Chadwick said.

 

Provision of best practice HTML email templates is a key part of the company’s service offering at CommuniGator, so it is essential that the company keeps its rulebook up to date with the latest technological advances, said Michael Cottrell, marketing manager at CommuniGator.

 

Cottrell said that the Advanced Inbox Checker gives a new perspective to add to this service, allowing us to offer even more value to the customers.
