Ontier Adds Pixetell to the Google Apps Marketplace

By Anuradha Shukla, TMCnet Contributor

Pixetell, considered as the fastest way to send visual messages from within an e-mail, has been added to the Google (News - Alert) Apps Marketplace.

Its main applications are to provide support for sales, customer support and just in time training. It can help users to add visual messages effortlessly to e-mail and also to electronic documents from Google application.

Don Dodge, developer advocate at Google noted that the Google Apps Marketplace allows software vendors such as Ontier to helping them build a rich ecosystem of integrated apps that work seamlessly with Google Apps.

In return, this enables users to realize the benefits of cloud computing in new ways. Dodge added that Apps like Pixetell leverage the new Gmail contextual gadgets to improve users’ e-mail workflow and help them send and receive visual messages without having to leave their inboxes.

Thanks to Pixetell, users can send and receive visual messages without leaving the inboxes to provide improvement in the e-mail workflow within the Gmail context. Delays involved in business processes such as providing product information to a customer, providing explanation to a contract and providing technical support can be eliminated.

“Pixetell has been very successful with small and medium size businesses,” said Sebastian Rapport, Ontier CEO. “These companies are more aggressive in looking for cloud-based solutions they can quickly employ to their competitive advantage. Pixetell elevates the power of Gmail so these businesses can now easily record and send visual messages explaining documents, forms, designs and how-to processes without waiting on meetings or web conferences to move their business forward.”
