Aubrey Smoot Appointed as New Vice President of Business Development for Apptix

Herndon, Virginia-based Apptix, a provider of hosted Microsoft Exchange email, Microsoft SharePoint, and business VoIP services, announced that it has appointed Aubrey Smoot as vice president of Business Development.
As the new vice president of Business Development, Smoot will be focusing on expanding Apptix's business through strategic reseller and channel partnerships.
Smoot is having more than 20 years of experience in senior business development roles with blue chip technology companies such as KPMG, HP, and IBM/Rational Software.
Prior to be appointed as vice president of Business Development at Apptix, Smoot served as vice president of business development for Cernium, a provider of video analytics primarily for security and airport applications.
Smoot holds a BS in Finance from the University of Delaware and a MSTM from American University's School of Computer Science.

The company provides a robust set of tools for resellers, thereby enabling partners to easily deploy, manage, and bill for the extensive portfolio of products and services, such as Apptix managed retail billing for resellers that don't have this capability; wholesale pricing and billing for resellers that consolidate broader offerings; white-label programs such as end customer control panel to Apptix provided customer support.
According to Apptix, Private Label Partners can extend service offerings with customized, hosted solutions from the company.
