Aubrey Smoot Appointed as New Vice President of Business Development for Apptix

Herndon, Virginia-based Apptix, a provider of hosted Microsoft (News - Alert) Exchange email, Microsoft SharePoint, and business VoIP services, announced that it has appointed Aubrey Smoot as vice president of Business Development. 

 

As the new vice president of Business Development, Smoot will be focusing on expanding Apptix's (News - Alert) business through strategic reseller and channel partnerships. 

 

Smoot is having more than 20 years of experience in senior business development roles with blue chip technology companies such as KPMG, HP, and IBM (News - Alert)/Rational Software.

 

Prior to be appointed as vice president of Business Development at Apptix, Smoot served as vice president of business development for Cernium, a provider of video analytics primarily for security and airport applications.

 

Smoot holds a BS in Finance from the University of Delaware and a MSTM from American University's School of Computer Science.
