The JW Marriot San Francisco Union Square hotel has stated that they have opened their new GoThere Virtual Meetings telepresence studio with AT&T (News - Alert) and Cisco TelePresence Studio.

According to a release from JW Marriot, the new real-time ultra-high-definition video meeting experience features AT&T Telepresence (News - Alert) Solutions and Cisco TelePresence to provide a wide range of productivity and collaboration benefits that include: 24/7 accessibility to other GoThere Virtual Meetings Studios at participating Marriott locations; minimize travel by visiting just one GoThere Virtual Meeting location to participate in several Virtual Meetings worldwide; ideal choice for collaborative small group sessions with the ability to share files and receive instant feedback; seamless integration of customer experience that allows to schedule, book and attend meetings; and availability of onsite hotel event services and support to help make the most of the meeting. 
General Manager of the Union Square luxury hotel in San Franscisco, Donna Collings has stated that the Marriot leads the lodging industry in delivering the latest meeting technology to its customers. GoThere Virtual Meetings offers their customers a new way to hold more productive, collaborative meetings linking locations worldwide.   
Telepresence technology enables groups to meet and collaborate in multiple locations worldwide in real time. And now Remote meetings have been taken to the next level with GoThere Virtual Meetings from Marriott. Integration of high-definition video, real time audio and interior design for GoThere Virtual Meetings studios, makes the users in a virtual meeting feel, as if they are gathered together in the same room across a virtual table, even if they are thousands of miles apart. 
Hotels that has been offering GoThere Virtual Meetings at present include the JW Marriott San Francisco Union Square, New York Marriott East Side, Bethesda Marriott North Hotel, and Dallas/Fort Worth Airport Marriott North; future studios are planned for Grosvenor House, a JW Marriott Hotel; JW Marriott Hong Kong; Renaissance Sao Paulo; JW Marriott Marquis Miami; Renaissance Washington, DC; and Atlanta Airport Marriott Gateway (News - Alert), with more to follow.
Senior Vice President of Market Accounts for Marriott International at Dave Townshend added that their corporate customers would hold more meetings at their hotels if they have an appealing virtual meeting option. GoThere Virtual Meetings has given Marriott customers additional opportunities to hold more small meetings, typically of 20 or fewer people in multiple locations built around a whole new meeting experience.
