Teliris Announces the First-Ever Panoramic Telepresence Solution
Teliris, which develops and implements the world's most widely deployed fully managed telepresence collaboration solutions, has introduced the first-ever panoramic telepresence solution that extends a natural, intuitive experience to the desktop by seamlessly wrapping group meeting environments around single participants reliably and securely.
Officials with Teliris said that the Teliris NanoEX Telepresence solution leverages a curved display design featuring Teliris' patented eye-contact accuracy technology, creating a fluid meeting experience across all participants.
Company officials said that delivering a unique multipoint experience with continuous presence or a voice-switched option to accommodate large meetings, the fully managed solution is easy-to-use and allows for a lightweight, efficient deployment.
'Every Teliris solution is specifically designed to ensure true immersion no matter its size - from big rooms to small form factor systems,' said Marc Trachtenberg, CEO and co-founder, Teliris, in a statement.
Trachtenberg said that this new solution with its innovative design does just that - it delivers a scaled, organic feeling of being in the room down to the desktop.
He said that the result is an even deeper level of flexible working practices for companies all over the world.
Company officials said that Teliris NanoEX Telepresence is compatible with the full line of Teliris Telepresence solutions and interoperates with any traditional videoconferencing or telepresence system.
In-room presentation sharing and viewing is also supported through laptop integration or the addition of a separate Teliris InterACT Presentation screen.
Teliris NanoEX Telepresence will be generally available in September 2010.
Recently Teliris announced its 3D telepresence solution to deliver a new level of realism through a three-dimensional meeting experience.
Uniquely designed for demanding visual collaboration needs, Teliris 3D Telepresence delivers true-to-life depth perception, dimension and perspective view through its full high definition video and innovative stereoscopic camera technology.
The solution also features the ability to switch between 2D and 3D meeting modes for easy interoperability across all Teliris solutions, as well as traditional videoconferencing or other telepresence systems.
