Paltalk Launches Paltalk News Network
Paltalk, a realtime, video-based chat community with over four million active members, has launched Paltalk News Network.
Paltalk News Network (PNN) is an interactive news networking program available on a video chat platform. It will be headed by former CNN Radio correspondent, Gary Baumgarten.
Baumgarten is an award winning journalist who previously served as the New York bureau chief and correspondent at CNN Radio for 10 years.
Company officials said that Paltalk News Network is a place where seasoned journalists and various other experts, representing a diverse range of viewpoints, come together to discuss both local and national topics.
Aggregating content from its various contributors and hosting weekly political video segments on its site, Paltalk News Network covers a wide range of issues of importance including politics, human rights, arts and entertainment, and science and health.
According to company officials, Paltalk users can access and participate in any news broadcast via audio, video or text. Paltalk News Network feeds are available on both the Paltalk site and the sites of its various hosts.
'Paltalk sees significant value in providing a place where people can share and discuss their viewpoints on what's going on in the world with others,' said Gary Baumgarten, news and programming director, Paltalk News Network, in a statement.
Baumgarten said that the Paltalk News Network reaches out to deep thinkers from all political and ideological backgrounds, and provides a home for open-ended and interactive discussion.
Back in February Paltalk had announced the availability of free SuperIM URLs.
SuperIM URLs are extensions of http://www.superim.me/nickname and are available now at no cost to Paltalk members.
SuperIM URLs are personalized links specifically for video chat that make connecting with others online as easy and genuine as talking face-to-face.
Paltalk users simply send their personalized SuperIM URLs to friends and family so they can chat with video, voice and text from anywhere without the hassle of downloading a separate application or signing into the same social network.
