Avistar's C3 Communicator Wins TMC's 2009 Unified Communications Magazine Product of the Year Award

San Mateo, Calif.-based provider of unified visual communications solutions Avistar Communications Corp. has announced that the Avistar C3 (News - Alert) Communicator solution has been named as a recipient of TMC's 2009 Unified Communications magazine Product of the Year Award.
"This is a tremendous recognition of both the value of the Avistar C3 Communicator solution and desktop videoconferencing," said Stephen Epstein (News - Alert), chief marketing officer, Avistar. "This recognizes the tremendous return on investment that Avistar customers achieve in increased productivity, improved revenue generation and reduced travel budgets."
The Avistar (News - Alert) C3 Communicator is a desktop visual communications that leverages current infrastructure and networks. It combines a familiar IM buddy list interface with Avistar's patent-protected video software technology to initiate and receive video calls easily. Industry standards such as H.264 allow users to connect to endpoints and video room solutions up to HD resolutions -- 720p. Avistar's C3 solution also won the 2008 INTERNET TELEPHONY Excellence Award presented by INTERNET TELEPHONY magazine.
