UK's Search Laboratory Uses Lifesize's Video Conference System for Global Client Meetings

Search Laboratory Ltd is reportedly using the video conferencing system from LifeSize (News - Alert) for its global client meetings. According to a release, the UK company has found the LifeSize system to be of huge benefit when the economic downturn put a halt to travelling. Based in Leeds, UK, Search Laboratory is a results-driven search engine marketing agency.


The video conferencing system from LifeSize will show a person in life size, high definition and with perfectly synchronized sound. In the release, Ian Harris, managing director of Search Laboratory, said videoconferencing systems used to be very slow, with the image changing once every few seconds, the quality was poor, the sound wasn’t synchronized with the image. However, with the new systems operating over Broadband using high definition screens, all this has changed. In fact, Search Laboratory experienced a 30 percent uplift in profits in January 2010 when compared with January 2009. This increase in profit is despite the ‘big freeze’ that has affected many businesses.

According to Megan Lueders, director of worldwide channel marketing of LifeSize, the company is pleased to see Search Laboratory using the power of HD video conferencing to improve their business processes and client relationships. Lueders added that as LifeSize is a Search Laboratory customer, it benefits from meeting face-to-face with its vendor nearly 5,000 miles away at just a moment’s notice. This enables both companies to accomplish more in less time, interact more effectively and save the cost and time of travel.
As Search Laboratory deals in multilingual pay-per-click (PPC management) and search engine optimization (SEO) services, most of its clients are overseas. The company has developed a method of daily bidding for keywords, based on continual analysis of PPC results that enable it to maximize expenditure on the keywords with the highest probabilities of conversion from click into enquiry. Search Laboratory’s SEO service consists of on-page recommendations, on-site recommendations and link building. The company’s tailored Search Engine Marketing service is built from components such as PPC Management, Search Engine Optimization, Multilingual, Market Position Analysis and Link Campaigns. Search Laboratory’s client list includes Novell (News - Alert), Reed Business Information and LifeSize.
