Spae International Communications, a provider of Personal Telepresence (News - Alert) and quality communication services, is partnering with Vidyo, an Internet-based videoconferencing system, to make HD video conferencing available anytime, anywhere.

Vidyo (News - Alert) is the first multipoint videoconferencing solution designed to work on a range of user environments over any general-purpose IP network, at lower costs. Vidyo provides a face-to-face experience, fostering collaboration at shortest notice.

VidyoDesktop is a software-based solution that is easy to use and manage via VidyoPortal. Customers can buy an entire system or just the service.

According to Sidney Higa, president of Spae, “Businesses no longer need special high-priced videoconference systems to host meetings amongst geographically dispersed teams.”

“With a laptop, a Web camera, headphones or noise canceling speaker/microphone and a Internet wireless or wired connection, anyone can participate no matter where they might happen to be. And customers will be amazed at the video and audio quality!”

Vidyo is ideal for online business meetings, presentations, training sessions, and events. It works with most cross platform hardware and all operating systems, such as Mac, Linux or Windows. One router supports up to 100 different sessions and users are assigned a personal space that can be password protected. Also, Users can have up to eight screens visible at one time.

“Since the start of the year, Polycom and Cisco (News - Alert) (to name a few), have unveiled plans for improved video conferencing platforms, but none can offer the greater deployment flexibility of Vidyo,” Gil Flores, Spae International Communications’ telepresence consultant said. “What is so amazing about Vidyo is its ability to interface to any legacy system via our gateway without the need for a video conferencing multipoint control unit. No one in the market today can offer this video conferencing option.”
