Next-generation mobile data solutions provider 724 Solutions reportedly announced that it has extended its collaboration with its partner Xoriant, in order to include the company’s ‘Seamless Access’ solution for India and other Asia Pacific markets.

Xoriant is a product engineering Services Company that is focused on the independent software vendor market throughout India. It offers a range of software development solutions to a variety of industries, such as finance, telecom, ecommerce, customer-facing web publishers, and others.

724 Solutions (News - Alert) primarily provides IP-based solutions for mobile Internet, mobile broadband and IP messaging.

Officials with 724 Solutions said in a press release that the extended collaboration with Xoriant will facilitate mobile operators across India to provide mobile Internet and mobile broadband solution.

This initiative was taken keeping in mind about the increasing growth of mobile Internet and 2.5G data services throughout India. In addition, the 3G licenses might be issued in 2010 in India, thereby urging Indian mobile operators to adopt next generation mobile data infrastructure, says officials.

John Sims (News - Alert), CEO of 724 Solutions, said in the release, “The upcoming radical growth expected from the Indian market for 3G mobile internet and mobile broadband services will challenge the current data infrastructure and disappoint subscribers.”

With the deployment of 724’s Seamless Access solution, mobile operators will be able to cost efficiently provide 2.5G data services today as well as seamlessly add on new services including 3G and mobile broadband without disruption to existing services.

Seamless Access is 724’s complete next-generation mobile Internet and mobile broadband solution that features intelligent decision making capability, flexibility and lowest total cost of ownership. This solution is currently installed at 14 operators serving more than 165 million subscribers and also enables mobile operators to meet the challenges in driving down the cost per bit of managing data traffic within their mobile networks.

Since 2002, 724 Solutions has partnered with Xoriant. The latest extended collaboration will include first-line support for customers across the major cities in India, thereby broadening the current functions of development, testing, customization, quality assurance, implementation, professional services and second-line support for Seamless Access.

Officials with 724 Solution said that throughout India and Asia Pacific, the India-based Xoriant team -- under the full direction of 724 management -- will support company’s installed base of customers such as deployments in India, New Zealand, Philippines, Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore, Hong Kong and Taiwan.

“724’s Seamless Access solution coupled with our local dedicated team of Xoriant software and systems deployment expertise can dramatically improve mobile data services and the subscriber experience throughout the country,” Sims added. “We are committed to the Indian market and believe our Seamless Access solution addresses not only the immediate growth of the 2.5G market, but also uniquely positions our customers to successfully reap the benefits offered by the explosion of growth offered by 3G and beyond.”
