Netarx, LLC, a business-transforming technology company and an enabler of Collaboration, Data Center Services, Netcare Managed Services, and information assurance solutions, has reportedly become the Cisco (News - Alert) Data Center Unified Computing Authorized Technology Provider, or “ATP”.
Cisco's Authorized Technology Provider Program is a program designed to bring emerging technologies to market. It is a program that helps Cisco to define the knowledge, skills and services that channel partners need to sell, deploy and support these technologies.
As stated, Netarx has completed successfully all the training and program prerequisites and has been qualified now to sell, deploy and support the Cisco Unified Computing System, or “UCS,” in the United States. To qualify as a Cisco Data Center Unified Computing Authorized Technology Provider, Netarx had to achieve the Cisco Data Center Networking Infrastructure Specialization and the Cisco Data Center Storage Networking Specialization and also demonstrate mature competencies in server, storage and virtualization technologies.
Michael Souders, president and chief operating officer at Netarx, said that the days of the stand alone server are numbered and a new computing paradigm shift is underway. Virtualization is the disruptive technology leading this move and architecting the right infrastructure will enable businesses to capitalize on these new abilities.
“Our accreditations as a Cisco Data Center Unified Computing Authorized Technology Provider, an EMC (News - Alert) Authorized Services Network and a VMware Authorized Consulting partner demonstrate our ability to help our customers understand and benefit from these new business-enabling capabilities. Netarx is well-positioned to transform and accelerate our customer's business by taking their virtual computing environments to the next step,” Souders said.
As mentioned, Cisco's Unified Computing System is designed to change the economics of the Data Center. This System unites network, computational, storage access and virtualization resources in a single energy-efficient system to reduce the costs and complexity of IT infrastructure, eventually contributing to improved business agility. This next-generation data center platform is said to accelerate the delivery of new services more securely through end-to-end provisioning and migration support.
“Taking advantage of an architectural shift in the data center, Cisco's new computing model helps customers transform the data center into a dynamic IT environment with the power to increase productivity, improve efficiency and drive virtualization to an entirely new level,” John Growdon, director, Worldwide Channels Go-to-Market Group at Cisco, said.
“As a Cisco Data Center Unified Computing Authorized Technology Provider, Netarx is a member of an elite ecosystem of industry leaders working with Cisco to stimulate technology innovation, augment service delivery and accelerate the market adoption of unified computing,” Growdon added.
