Last year, Spanlink Communications, a Minneapolis-based provider of unified communications (UC) and contact center solutions, introduced three pre-packaged UC solutions designed to give comprehensive and easy-to-manage collaborative communications solutions.
Built on solutions from Cisco (News - Alert) Systems, the bundled offerings integrate collaboration tools such as email, voicemail, desktop video, fax, instant messaging and other communications capabilities, making it easier than ever to communicate with customers and colleagues.
The SpanCom 50, SpanCom 200 and SpanCom 200Flex provide cost-effective options for businesses that want to simplify their telephony solution while still accessing advanced UC call and voicemail features.
More recently, Holy Name of Jesus, a Catholic parish and school, has reportedly deployed SpanCom 200Flex, a Spanlink (News - Alert) Communications pre-packaged unified communications solution.
SpanCom 200Flex includes switches, servers, licenses, professional services, maintenance, support and Spanlink SolutionWatch, a proactive solution-monitoring tool. Integration with other industry-leading applications, such as Microsoft (News - Alert) Office Communicator, also is included. Businesses can pick-and-choose which advanced UC components to deploy. Sophisticated UC components such as presence and mobility help ensure that information reaches the right person right away, dramatically improving end-user and enterprise productivity.
Holy Name of Jesus is based in Wayzata, Minn., a western suburb of Minneapolis has more than 8,500 parishioners while also operating a K-6 elementary school. Last fall, school officials, said it was becoming apparent that the parish’s phone system was unreliable and outdated, frequently losing programming, dropping voicemails and incorrectly routing calls.
“The first time I met with Spanlink, I knew we would be in good hands. Their commitment to our success was apparent from day one,” said Dan Garry, parish administrator, Holy Name of Jesus.
“Spanlink understood how important it is for us to be accessible to our parishioners and parents. The team understood that we needed an affordable solution that would be easy for us to manage, and they were willing to work with us to get it up and running quickly,” Garry continued.
The implementation was completed over the school’s winter break to ensure the deployment wouldn’t interfere with class and once school was back in session Spanlink conducted two training sessions with faculty and staff.
“Schools need reliable communication systems to help them control costs and improve productivity so they can focus more of their resources on staff development and student achievement,” said Scott Christian, CEO, Spanlink. “With Spanlink’s pre-packaged UC solutions customers get cost-effective and comprehensive solutions that are easy to manage and quick to deploy.”
Spanlink was recently at TMC’s (News - Alert) ITEXPO in Miami, Florida.
