Inmarsat, plc, a provider of global mobile satellite communications services, has launched Redknee's real-time Turnkey Converged Billing solution to address the prepaid charging needs of its Broadband Global Area Network (BGAN) service.

 

Inmarsat’s (News - Alert) BGAN solution delivers up to 492kbps of data anywhere on the planet, and enables Internet access with full audio and video streaming capabilities in some of the most remote regions of the globe.

 

Officials said that the company selected Redknee's (News - Alert) Turnkey Converged Billing solution as it provides the flexibility to support its many satellite communications distributors with a number of dynamic pricing plans across a number of services - including voice, SMS and other data services.

 

Moreover, officials said that Redknee's Turnkey Converged Billing solution also provides Inmarsat with real-time, prepaid charging for voice, messaging and data, along with the ability to integrate fully with its existing Client Relationship Management (CRM) platform.
