The cloud era is upon us, and the dawn of a new day has arrived. Technology is in the midst of a major transformation as a result of cloud computing, and one area most notably grabbing attention is the unified communications space. DataClean recently announced the selection of Megapath’s SD-WAN to connect its five U.S. offices and better support staff in the field. MegaPath (News - Alert) will deliver the full gamut of voice and connectivity needs. Everything you need to know is HERE.

A Department of Defense contractor has awarded Comtech Telecommunications (News - Alert) Corp. $6 million in business. The company declined to name the DoD contractor. Comtech Telecommunications sells an array of solutions into the global commercial and government communications markets. Comtech’s Command and Control Technologies Group, part of the company’s Government Solutions segment, will be providing managed network services via the deal. All the details are HERE.

Utah’s Sunwarrior, a health-conscious enterprise specializing in vegan plant-based protein powders and natural supplements, selected the 8x8 (News - Alert) X Series to enhance contact center operations. This week, Fusion announced the completion of its MegaPath acquisition. The $71.5 million purchase was made up of $61.5 million in cash and 1.7 million shares of the cloud communication provider’s stock.
