New Avaya IP Office Supports Equinox

Avaya (News - Alert) has announced the global availability of a new version of its IP Office solution. This new release supports Avaya Equinox, the company’s unified communications solution. It also features ease of use and management enhancements targeted at small and medium business users, and Avaya partners.


“The Avaya IP Office solution serves an enormous base – 26 million users and growing – and we continue to evolve the solution in ways that support businesses ability to be agile and collaborative,” said Chris McGugan, SVP, Solutions and Technologies, Avaya. “By providing a single app to access all the tools they need to efficiently communicate and collaborate, we’re truly enabling teams to work smarter, not harder.”

Avaya IP Office addresses a wide array of communications channels, content sharing, meetings, and team collaboration. It can be deployed in the cloud, using the hybrid model, or on premises. Avaya Equinox provides a single, easy to use, contextual interface that’s optimized for all devices. It provides one-touch access to calling, messaging, audio and video conferencing, and web collaboration.

Also new with the latest version of Avaya IP Office is a reporting and tracking package the company got through an OEM deal with DevConnect (News - Alert) partner Xima. Called Avaya Chronicall for IP Office, the Xima-powered offering provides more than 50 standard plus customizable reports on agent performance, visual call management, and more. It is available for via the cloud and as an on-premises solution.

“As a solution provider and intermediary between vendors and clients, it’s important that we have a record of live conversations to ensure that we have a reference point of critical elements affecting a client’s satisfaction,” said Derek Gray, Carousel Cloud Solutions Specialist. “Chronicall with IP Office logs everything that happens on the call, providing us with call history, recording and real-time reporting, with a clean, easy to use interface. This not only provides us with what we need, but is also a perfect fit for our customers.”

This new version of Avaya IP Office also features installation wizards and management tools. They allow businesses and partners to expedite turnup and manage the solution with ease.

Avaya IP Office users can access the solution with Avaya Vantage, the newest J Series desktop phones for voice and video, and Avaya Equinox soft and mobile clients.
