April is here, and for many that means the crack of the bat, the wave and cries from vendors of “cold beer!” For us sports junkies, this time is far more. The hope of a new NFL season is born every April with the NFL draft. Just as this annual event breathes life into franchises and fandoms, Cloud communications will empower every transaction that takes place during the April 26th – April 28th event.
Avaya (News - Alert) announced today that for the ninth consecutive year, the cloud communications provider will deliver all 32 teams, more than 250 members of credentialed press and 256 draftees reliable, secure and seamless connectivity during the NFL Draft. This year it is collaborating with WBL Services on the Avaya Equinox Experience deployment.
WBL and Avaya are well versed in working together as the pairing already provides communications services to the Hall of Fame Game as well as the College Football Playoff National Championship Game. When WBL turns to Avaya, it knows supporting “war room,” connecting a number of dispersed people and locations in seamless fashion is capable.
Bill Lipscomb, president, WBL Services. “In a fast-paced, dynamic environment where the goalposts are always moving, you need critical communications that are reliable, flexible and scalable. We continue to work with Avaya because they deliver excellent value, high quality and speed with the highest level of security, service and hustle.”
For fans, this means improved update times, maybe even a faster. I can’t promise hoisting a Lomdardi Trophy, or even making the playoffs, but hope is a powerful thing. While cloud communications can’t pick players, they can certainly aid in the selection process.
Are your corporate communications in the cloud?
